Wow I dont think I have ever seen oldyeller so worked up,  watch that blood pressure man   :attention:   you know what the doctors say  :chillpill:.  As far as my  :twocents: it doesnt do any good to critisize before the jobs done, obviously this thing is a work in progress and I doubt anyone cares to die driving it, there seems to be plenty of people with experience working on it to put together something destined to fail.  I have seen alot of projects where I wondered what the crap (many of them mine :shake:)  but when you give people a chance they come together and work quite well.  So anyways nice work guys, cant wait to see it come together!!

for the moonrocks trip just the one in the middle for now for mcr the X will be done and the support to the unibody will be welded better, and the rest of the cage work should be done

I thought that top part would be enough.  I was thinking of putting cross braces on the bottom half to keep the bottom part of the cage from bending in.  :headscratch:

:nope:  I already PMd  matt about it, but without "X" it, you're not gonna get much (if any) lateral support.  The triangulation is what makes it strong,  Without tying it all together with cross bars, the horizontal bar will fold with enough pressure (laying it over)   and that vertical bar will only support in a direct impact  on the roof, which prolly won't happen.  I would definitely X both the top and the bottom, the bottom for exactly the reason you're talking about,  and the top to give more rigidity and support to the B-pillars, and the bars you've already got in there (horizontal and vertical bars)
