as far as the full float, it isnt a steer axle, its a rear axkle... even with lockout hubs, it istill inst a steer axle

i know it's not a steer axle.  i want to run it cuz full floaters ytend to lose wheel bearings instead of axle shafts and then a set of 30's for my front will lessen the chance of carnage in the front.  did i type steer somewhere.

have fun down under!  bring me back a koala in a kangaroo's pouch holding a boom -a- rng.  ok maybe just a boom-a-rang lol jk

new color... haha you like...   all i need to do is get the belts on and radiator. fill them with oil and fluid.  bleed brakes and clutch and fill power steering.  cut a hole in the floor board( need a sawz all blade, all mine are broke.
than put the leaf springs and shocks back on, and then i can tow it to the exhaust shop.  then i can turn the key!!!!

werty

Did you add oil to the turbo lines before you hooked them up? fast way to ruin a turbo is not having oil in the lines on the first start up. It takes a few seconds for the oil to get to the turbo from the pump and by that time the turbo is spooling allready.

robrub00

yeah i added oil first!!!!!  thanks good looking out though!

Just pull the fuse for the computer so the injectors won't fire & crank the engine until you have good oil pressure. Then re-install the fuse & start the engine. You can also remove the coil wire & do the same thing  :twocents:

hahah  i haven't been on here in a while.  so an update.  i was away on the fires down south and i was getting hassled by my local Community Service Officer ( writes parking tickets etc)  they said my disabled vehicle in my drive way had to be shown to run or a 300 ticket would be given.  well i was gone 18 days in malibu and san diego so my dad had my toyota towed to a shop.  well 2 months later the shop calls  and got all the kinks worked out and it was running!!  code 11 was on the cheack engine light,   but  that was ok cuz   it was running like crud! before and a bunch of stuff had to be done to get it running.  so he got it running called me to come look at  it drive it etc.  he started it up for me and 5 sec later he reved it.  after he reved it there was  a ticking sound!  that was not right!   he says he thinks it is a main bearing!!!!!!!!  so now  i have a $3000+  engine with a main bearing  that is busted ( not confirmed)  well i went to the machine shop and the guy who built my engine wants me to bring him the oil filter sooo im bringing it to him tommarrow!!! he wants to see if there is any metal in it??  it is so frustrating.  ( it does sound good with the 3 inch exhaust!!!)  and it was nice to see it move under its own power for once!   so thing i have done and had done lately  i had the 3 inch exhaust put on with custom  turbo elbow made!.  i lifted it so the 33's wouldnt rub.  ( sits way higher in the front,  need to get the alcans put on front and rear!!!( i bought them already!)  I decided on a top mount intercooler from an audi  that i got for 25 dollers!!! NEED TO pipe IT AFTER I GET IT RUNNING.   i still have the msd ignition to install,  i have  a 5.29 elocker that i picked  up on here i need to modify the axle. still need to do the dual cases that are sitting in my garage,  the sky front widening kit,  the drive line break the crossover and histeer conversion and install the interior cage and get my hipinion elocker  geared for 5.29 and installed, longfieleds...instaled with cryod hub gears and i picked up some 4crawler rock sliders too.  I am Crazy( im starting to feel like it will never be done!!

ps i also picked up a 87 4runner running for a good price from a fire capt.!!!  ive been driving that til i get the blue 85 running.  it has 5.29's  and 4 inch lift!! its ifs  but what the heck!.  i had to change the upper and lower a arm and idler arm and other parts so it wont pull the the right.  got it alighned.  i swaped the fender and hood( still not  perfect but better)  looking to sell it as soon as i get the 85 22rte running
