you chould have a bad neg. cable or some paint under the cable end. check the simple stuff frist.

well some stuff works like the winshield wipers work great but just some random stuff is acting really wierd.. well actually the only things that are working right are the wipers and the ignition...

yup, that how a bad ground can make things work, it will drive ya nuts! what happens is the power finds a way to ground, though the things it can find. so they work butt nothing elas is right. did you say the radio would not turn off? if so thats one way the power is looking to get back home. check all the grounds with a test light. hug it up on the neg. trm. of the batt. and trun stuff on. then prob and look for the light to go on. if you can make the light ogo on by stabbing the firewall or the chasiy you've got no ground from that point to the batt. then ya fix it. it's a little harder than just that but that sould get you looking anyway. (i get typers cramp! )

hey just got that coil and ignitor and tried to fire it up... gas started gushing out of the seal where the fuel line connects to the fuel rail.. fixed that but im still not getting gas to the cylenders. will start with starter fluid but wont on its own.. any suggestions? could it have anything to do with fuel injectors?

Oh yea starting fluid is evil!  Use carb cleaner much safer and mo'betta for your cylinder walls.

lol actually i ran out of starter fluidafter the first atempt and was using carbcleaner

k there are 3 brown wires that come out in one bundle under the intake right in the middle... What are they for??? i have no wirign diagram so i have no way of finding out... both wires from the injectors just go back into the harness and dissapear... someone please help.. still wont run and have to drive it to school wendsday...

drove it today it has some issues that need to be worked out as you will with any project but so far pretty good....

a lil.. it still idles at about 12-1400 and doesnt like to accelerate very much.. need to check timing

It sounds like you might have slow timing and/or a vaccuum leak

well something is definently mess up with somehting.. it idles at like 2k when im driving, checked for vacuum leaks and didnt find anything... one thing i noticed was when i pulled the hose to the brake booster it dropped to 1k but idled ruff... is that normal? Any other sugggestions on what might be going on i broke my timing light by tripping on the cord and it fell off the hood and broke so i havent been abel to do that yet.. thanks again James

another little tid bit of info... when you start it up sometimes it will idle fine... if you tap the throttle the engine will rev up abut wont come back down untill you turn the truck off and back on again...

Yes, you need one off a FI, I think that is your whole prob... wait I'm sure. :thumbs:Oh and shucks has FSM's
