Well we decided to get a new car for mrsgotrocks.  Her requirements were 4wd and a toyota.  So here's what I got for her.  What do you guys think

She's got
2.7 3rz
5sp
5.29's and soft locker up front
3" Revtek suspension lift
3" Body
brand new 35x13.50x15 toyo MT
Brand new 15x10 Extreme Alloy's

what do you guys think.  I absolutely love the new truck and I hope it becomes mine someday.

Here's my new ride.

Its a 88 GL-10  I'll start another thread in the chit-chat.  This is my little DD I just got.  It gets me where I want to go and I didn't break the bank doing it.  Hey it even has a low range 4wd

if you want to see more go here

Nice tacoma and gl10. Ive been trying to find a clean suby of that vintage for a while, unfortunatly all i keep finding are ex-crackmobiles. hoping to find a lever shift with low range. those things rock.  :beerchug:

I didn't take long to get the tool box in the back of the truck.  It will be perfect for the two of you, but when there are kidrocks in the picture the extended cab won't be enough for child seats.

I am expecting that once some bdbabies show up I will need to modify the Tundra into either a family car or late model 4Runner or double cab Tacoma.  We had two child seats in it over the weekend and there isn't enough room for them to fit well in the back.  I suspect that a car is far more likely than the others as the payments would be difficult when we are no longer "dinks."

I think it needs diamonds f/r with full hydro and coilovers in all corners, triangulated 4 link will do as well

When kidrocks come later down the road a double cab is going to be the new family wheeler.  Until then I'm plenty happy with the new taco.

In due time.  Thats my goal someday.  But not for a few years.  This taco will probably be my DD after I'm out of college.

Yeah I do have the SD.  I probably will sell it this summer and downsize.  I don't need that expensive of a tow rig.  I want to get a 98+ Dodge 24valve.  The only time I really drive the Ford right now is when I'm towing.  I tow usually about once or twice a month and 2 big trips a year.

yeah my PSD was my DD as well and I drive a lot so the fuel was getting to be a bit crazy some months.  I now get 30+ MPG on the freeway and around town in the Subi,  thats more than double what my ford is getting.

$9100 without the tires he had on it.  It has a brand new set of 35 BFG's on steel chrome wheels.  He originally wanted 12,500 for the new set of tires and 2 sets of spare tires.  One set of worn out 35's and a set of 33's on wheels.  I don't need any more tires around our house so I told him 9000 without the tires and he told me he owed 9300 on his loan still and I said that I wouldn't go higher than 9100 and had cash.  He agreed and so we went from there.  Since I bought it I've had 2 guys who called him ask me how much i got it for.  Both of them were trying to get loans to buy it and he told them 13,500.  So I think I got a OK deal.  It books for 9000 on the low end and on the high end it goes for around 12000+.  Not to mention the gears, locker and lift.  I would've done that anyhow to any truck I was going to get her anyway so it saved me some coin.

oh its tempting but I want to enjoy it actually in its stock form for a while.  I haven't owned a truck yet that I could leave alone for more than 6 months.  When we bought it my wife asked me when we were going to do a SAS actually.  But I told her that for right now it would be smarter to leave it in its current state.  Its not like we can't wheel lightly in it the way it is.  It already has the front locker and gears.

no its not a TRD.  I wish it was but the only thing I would've gained would've been the rear elocker.  I will probably put something back there someday but right now it works sweet

Love the taco.  Even the chrome makes it look nice.  But if i was going to get a white one i would definatly get some black rock crawler rims.  i think they look bad that way.
