It took the 22RE a couple more times going through to get water in the engine but once we got water in the engine it wouldn't start.  My 22R started right up with a little carb cleaner :driving:.

But my pic isn't as bad as this one, Mega Mormon got high centered on this hill when he was trying to flex out.  I don't know what he was thinking :shake_head:.  But the funny thing is a whole bunch of jeeps drove by when he was high centered :haha:.

Hey that tercel pic was taken B4 I even had a truck.  It wasn't even 4 wheel drive.  And it probalby never should have been taken off road.  But the truck high centered who does that.  Oh, and I will have to post a pic of Mega Mormon taking out a tree in the road while driving on a spare.

That Tercel is flexing pretty good. The left rear tire is tucked up nicely.

hey, that car is what started me 4 wheelin.  I have taken that thing through some pretty rough terrain.  I have taken it halfway up yahkee boy basin in Ouray Colorado which is rated either 2-3, I think it was a 3.  The only thing that prevented me from getting to the top was a rocky creek bed.  The Tercel didn't have enough clearance.  It is pretty funny to see the look on guys driving jeeps.  Good thing it was a Toyota otherwise a vehicle 20 yrs. old w/ 230,000 miles would have never made it.

YEAH...BUT DID YOU PLOW A TREE???
i didn't think so!
i'll post the pic as soon as i find it!

If you've got a picture of you running over a tree, DO NOT POST IT.

That kind of thing gives wheelers a bad name, and gives the greenies more ammunition for closing down our play areas.

The tree was already dead.  When I was leaving a campside I pulled it out in the middle of the road in front of him.  The funny thing was he had a spare dounut becuse he got a flat on the way in, and he was too lazy to get out and move it. Speed and sharp rocks don' mix!

  Just want to avoid any problems.  There have been issues on several boards about people crawlin on living trees.  It isn't a good practice, and as I said before just give the greenies ammo :yesnod:

Looks like a fun car to thrash, I used to beat on an '87 dodge caravan in High School :hahaha:

Hell yeah man. I still have my honda accord but I used to beat the piss outta that thing. Surprisingly the first gear and the little 2.2L engine were amazingly torquey...plus i found the most aggressive toyo tires for cars, these nasty mud/snow tires that look like mini BFG muds, and that helped out. i had a friend in high school that had a tercel, though it was probably a early 90. He lived in an area that got about 3 feet of snow in the winter and the roads werent plowed. He had the same tires I did and got them studded. used to leave his house at like 4:30AM because he had to mob through like 8 miles of snowy gravel roads before the high way to school. anyway, moral of the story is tercels are wheelers.

Tercel was only a 1.4 Liter.  It's first gear wasn't geared very low though.  Speed, momentum and a very small and maneuverable vehicle got me a long ways.  One time I had to go in reverse just to get through one part of the trail I was on (reverse has a lower gearing than the tercel).  I have smelled a lot of burning clutch while driving that car.
