Front Hanger

I want to build a front hanger for my 1st gen pick up to save some money on my build up. Does any one know the measurements and what type of metal im gonna need.

1983 Toyota SR5 long box bobbed 17" doved 14" bed cage, 22re, w56 tranny, working on dual cases 23 spline 4.70 twin sticks driveline disco. Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear disk brakes and ff.

 i thought i would build one also, but after buying one, in would be hard to duplicate it for the money. save your quarters. they add up fast i bought the sas kit, but i think the hanger comes with bolts and bushings. don't hold me to that

i built mine. there was one sas kit when i did my sas from all pro and it was $$$$$ the measurements are 29 inches center to center for the spring width and i used 3.5x3.5x.250 tube for my hanger it has about 10 bucks of scrap steel in it

nice, i did some measurements on my buddies who has the allpro hanger and i was gonna use 4x4 tube steel with .250 walls and a piece of 1x2 .120 for the crossmember

I have about $50 into mine.  i took two pieces of 2x3x.250 and welded them together making a 2x6.  baught some spring hangers for $20 and welded them on.

i used 2x6 and welded up custom hangers half way in the tubing.

looks good what do you use the weight bench for. i some times use the weights to sag the suspension for measurements

it was my mom's weight bench, i never really used it.

I have mine finished if you want me to take some pics. I used 2x3 .120 wall tube steel with rear spring hangers i bought from marlin off set them 3/4 inch and welded them on capped the ends and braced the bracket. Yet to install it though.
