Any Opinions thoughts on skys new front sas hanger??
« on: Jul 15, 2013, 03:58:14 PM »
Hey guys I am looking for sas parts for my 4runner and saw this
http://sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=304
I like the idea because it would keep a lower stance.. But it doesnt seem as strong as the normal sas hanger.. What do yall think?

looks cool, wonder if it will work on a 2wd frame?

It just seems like there could be some possiblility of it twisting, if you didn't get it all welded up and braced really good at the frame.  But they do wheel the snot out of their stuff tho!   :headscratch:

I don't think it will give you a lower stance. The spring location doesn't change. (Besides forward/backward) You just get more clearance BETWEEN the springs.

Exactly this. I see no real benefit and it's an arguably weaker design.
You'll have to do a lot of extra work to make it as string as a normal design.

I was down there a couple weeks ago getting parts from them.  They just go tback from HooDoo trails up by Mt. Hood.  They said they all broke their stuff.  They do the Hammers several times a year, easy.
