Why I think it will look interesting.  :yesnod:
Here is a little sample of the color change.
Should be able to see me coming a mile away! :burnout:
It is coming along, I would rather do an engine swap than paint a truck, what a pain in the  :moon:.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

that hood sticker kicks major ass. I wish more people would represent the 343. The paint came out really nice as well.

Thanks for all the great feedback.
I started to cover the stock base green paint with some rattle can, then roller, then paint brush, then sanding until my arms almost fell off. Then I went to the old tool box and pulled out the old craftsman paint gun and sprayed two coats of Rustoleum safety yellow thinned with 15 % acetone.
The decal came from http://www.fireandrescuedecals.com/ They have a great selection of decals. I work for the city of Salina as a full time paid fire Capitan, I watched, on duty as the towers fell. I wanted to in some small way to keep it in the forefront of peoples minds when we are out enjoying what our great country. {Offroading} I am looking for something to put on the rear of the cab to honor our troops for the sacrifice that is now being played out around the world.
Going out this weekend to see if I can not put some scratches in the paint. I will post a couple of photos some time Sunday.

I have two of my BEST friends that are full time firefighters and really appreciate the sacrafices that those 343 made. I appreciate your sticker and say  for your representation, as everyone should.

Went to the local offroad park here in Kansas and played all day.

Of course it is hard to kill the motor with dual transfer cases and 529 gears. Had a lot of fun and the only things that got scratched was the rockrails and under carriage.

sweet rig though i would highly suggest adding some cross bracing or gussets on the back of the cab and the roof for sure....i would seriously question its strength in a hard roll

Hey man thats a sweet rig,  the yellow came off amazing!!  I second dir,  gussets are really important on the roof mainly if you come down on a corner,  potentially the whole setup is more likely to collaps without any triangulation or gussets.   Where is that at in Kansas it looks like a fun place.  I am going to have 3weeks off from school here at the end of the month and want to get a few places to go.  I live in Overland Park, and an hoping to have my rig wrapped up here in the next 3 weeks.  So any places you can suggest and how to get there would be awesome.

The Tuttle Creek ORV Area is located 2 miles southeast of Randolph, Kansas with access from Riley County Road #893 to Secrest Road, then 1 ½ miles east. This 310-acre park is open to all motorized and non-motorized vehicles.
To find it go to this link  http://maps.google.com/maps   and type in  { Randolph, Kansas } Zoom in once and turn on the Satellite overlay and you can see some of the trails not hidden by the trees.

As for the extra bracing, I am planning on adding a cross bar behind the cab and six to eight gussets in the frame work by the windshield and on the roof area. It also already has a complete four point roll cage in the cab for the really bad roll that i hope I never have. The exo is mostly to protect the body from trees and rock scrapes. But you are right I do need to add some extra bracing for the exo.

i would cut out the internal cage and just beef up the exo......no point in both right? just extra weight and less cab space  :beerchug:
