Isn't it ironic?

Jeep has lowered themselves to produce a fwd SUV/Mini Van.  I saw one tonight and couldn't believe that it was a Jeep.  I thought it was interesting that Jeep would name the vehicle responsible for proving that they have lost their way the compass.

In the past they claimed that all of the Jeeps could conquer the Rubicon, then they became "Trail Rated" and now they are fwd mini vans that might be able to handle a dirt road.

I know why they are doing it, and I can't argue that it won't be good for business, but they should have followed Toyota's idea of starting Scion to market to the import car owners rather than changing the philosophy of the Toyota name.

Jeep is quickly losing whatever integrity it had left.  I like mercedes, but I have to think that this is partly due to their pressuring chrysler to do what will make them money.  Understandable yes, just sad.  I'm kinda surprised mercedes still makes the unimogs, one of which I saw broke down on the side of I5 the other day  :headscratch:
