That is gonna be one mean beast!  Stay with that blue when you paint it, gives it character.  One of a kind!

topar

Thanks the frame and exo will be blue, body will be black or white not sure yet.

 I did not get to work on the truck at all this weekend.  I was hoping to build a cross member and mounts for the rear shocks.  Hopefully this week I will get up there and work on it.  I was thinking of possibly painting the body silver to go with the blue.  Anyone have any ideas for a color to go with that blue?

How well does the 350 fit in the first gen, I have a 4.3 V6 in mine and its a little tight long ways. I almost went with a dana 300 as well but I wanted to have FWD also so I went with the beefier np205

It is tight very tight.  I have a body lift and did some ahh firewall modifications (big hammer).  Using the aluminum radiator with a push electric fan.

I found a extended cab truck that I can get with the right front finder mangled and the windshield busted up I can get it for $50 He will also throw in a good windshield out of a 2 wheel drive truck.  So this weekend I will be going to look at them and might be putting this cab on my frame being 6'4" I would like to have the extra room.

are u keeping the stock axles, or upgrading them for the power that v8 is pumping out?

topar

I put 30 spline cromoly axles and birfs in front (Bobby L.) and still need to order Cromoly axles for the rear.

boggerunner

are u also gonna run the chromo hub gears? and arp hub studs?

topar

I have the hub gears, but have not changed out the studs.  Will have to see about the studs.  This is my first real build and am learning about Toyota's as I go.  So if anyone has any advice I am happy to here about it.  Thanks.

Fearofrunner

looks like some nice welds there, pics kinda blurry but still looks like a good build up.

topar

Thanks.  I am actually starting to think it is the camera.  I take photos with my wifes camera and they are fine but every pic I take with mine look blurry.  :shake_head:

rednk1980

on some new cameras they have a two or three stage automatic focus and if you press the button all the way before it has focused your pic will come out blury everytime. Mine make a ding when it is focused.  :twocents:

Yeah my wifes has that two stage button.  I don't think mine does but I am going to play with it one of these nights if I ever get any time off of work and see if it is the camera or the dummy using the camera.  :hammerhead:
