Can't believe it but my buddy Rudy's putting the 4runner up for sale. Starting a business...

1991 Toyota 4runner/Buggy

Front Axle:
Dana 44 with powerlock, 5.38's, chromoly inner and outer axle shafts with cryo'd super u-joints. Custom x-over steering and lockouts (dont have to worry about breaking a hub) this axle was also completely rebuild when installed about 5 trips ago.

Rear Axle:
Dana 60 with a Spicer locker, 5.38's.

Suspension:
8" Alcan springs which have broke in to probably around 6" lift springs (have TONS of flex!!!)  with custom front and rear shackles (have many spares and different sizes for selection) wired up for 4 rocklights for night runs. Triangulated shocks in the rear, comes with spare shocks as well!

Drivetrain:
3.0 V6 with 14,000 miles fully rebuilt from Toyota factory, R series tranny (23 spline strong!) and the dual ultimate setup (2.28 front case and 4.7 rear case)  includes built and balanced rear tube driveline and square on the front with parts for trail spares. total crawl ratio for this rig is 248:1 and the dual cases only have 2 trips on them.

Truck has been chopped and wrapped with a full exo, painted with single stage white and blue racing strips, also has herculined behind rear seat or cargo space. 39.5" Iroks on 15x12 wagon wheels.

I've personally wheeled with this truck numerous times and it is very solid! extremely stable and would make the new owner proud. This is a TURN KEY WHEELER! its been wired for a push button start and is ready to go, full tune up has been done on the engine within the past 500 miles. Plugs, wires, rotor and cap, all fluids flushed. Currently registered in Oklahoma where its streetable (definently not in Cali) all parts listed are still very new and dont have any hard abuse on them.

Includes many spares, spare R series tranny! with stock transfer case (all 23 spline)... shackles, ends for drivelines and everything else that was pulled off and salvagable along with a spare set of 5012 rancho shocks.

Located in N. California about 30 miles north of Sacramento.

Any questions feel free to PM myself or call Rudy at (530) 870-3297

Asking $10,500

Why not just part out the runner and keep the parts for the new rig?  It seems like that'd be cheaper

wont crush when you roll/flop it  ;)

because he needs a big chunk of money to get this business started, majority of the money he gets from the rig will go into the business. I have a feeling the 91' pickup will be a milder/cheaper build.

Dude, I know why your selling and all, but it's just so sad. Theres so much detail and time in this rig its rediculous. Another perk is its family wheelable, I know because my wife and son rode in it through most of the Rubicon, they said mine didn't feel as safe as his.

The build up, err, some of it:  http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=21546.0

I thought I saw that in a magazine.  A very sweet rig.

3 of the trucks in our group got pictures, pretty cool.

The red 4runner to the left on page 120 is John (toynorcal) and the grey truck in the top left hand corner on the next page is my truck.

It looks like Frankentoy made it.  That truck is beat up, but works great.  That blue truck or 4Runner also looks sweet.

Shamb

Frankentoy cruised out with us in 2wd after breaking some frontend parts (can't remember exactly what.. think it was a hub or something)

Cool group of guys.
