Prayers (or at least good wishes) needed
« on: Nov 05, 2006, 02:21:37 PM »
Hey y'all,

I blew out my left knee a little over a week ago. I had surgery on it last December and I boogered it up again. Tomorrow morning I go in to see the surgeon. I like to ask for your prayers, if you're so inclined, or at least your good luck wishes.

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks, I wonder if the surgeon offers a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty.

I've had bad knees for a while. I had both of them scoped last December...I guess the left one didn't take. Oh well!

Again...thanks everyone!

I just got back from the doctor and it's kind of a wait and see thing. He wants me to wait until the knee won't work most of the time. The older you are when you get a replacement, the longer it should last. In cross section my knee cap looks kind of like a frisbee, it's all hollowed out in the middle and the "hooks"...get hooked in the leg bones.
So, I'll just have to keep off my knees as much as I can and take drugs before I go hiking.

Not at all! I'm pretty happy with the result...I don't want to go through a long rehab (again). I should be able to do most of the stuff I need to do and enjoy doing with out too much trouble.
