Hello
here I go a am about to take on a crazy expensive project. Have a 2500 series dodge 4x4 and am putting in the dynatrac 35 spline front end kit with hubs. My question is I am looking to set the front rear myself I have to convert the carrier to from a 32 to a 35 spline carrier. i have a detroit true trac carrier waiting to be installed. Is this something I can do ? Is it that hard?

Total investment in the front axle said in parts only is around 3200. that is all I have to loose.

thanks for the input

Yeah and I did post this on dodge talk.com and no responses, Should know better Marlins site rules

If you have all the tools, and take your time it's not bad.  You should only have to reset backlash since you are not changing gears, so a mounted dial indicator and basic tools will do the job.  It's one of those things; if you are not totally comfortable, or don't have an experienced buddy to help, you might wanna pay the 200 to have it professionally done.

edit: I think that front axle is a "shim" design to set the backlash, not 100% though.

The truck broke down 2 months ago = 470 tow bill. She is in my driveway. Front end is seriously totally trashed.  I ordered the stage 2 kit 7 weeks ago from dynatrac and they tell me it should ship next week. Honestly I am broke and just need to save a few $$. Just looking for a list of tools we can use to do it once and do it right.

Thanks
