I'd torch off the leaf spring mounts and mount buckets right there...notch the bottom of em so they straddle the axle tube...that will be stronger, get your buckets as low as possible, and get some of that ride height away.  Then I'd gusset the crap out of it.

so didint get much done today. i got the 4 link finished just need some more 3/4 " bolts andgot the roof to my exo welded up thats about it. i spent about an hour staring at it ,that was cool.im going to start the rear now, going with the 61"f 150 leafs and a 3/4 eliptic leaf (buggy leaf) im going to move my spring hanger forward  so that it only increases my wheel base 2 "s or so. i already moved my front axle forward 4"s so it would get out of my cab when tucked up. i hoping to be finall wheelbase of 110" as it sit im 108"

the progress

got some more done today i got the rear leafs out and thef 150 leaf packs taken apart and took out 2 leafs. . i go the drivers mounts built and welded to the frame. i got the buggy leaf put in and the shackle set up  birfailed is giving me a u bolt flip kit and then ill attach my alxe  i move the bracket 9's forward on the frame so that i could kepp my wheelbase. i used aor front shackes to match the different sizes in the f150 and yota width. worked out good, because of the steep angle of the ford spring  i had to cut off the spring perches and rotate them forward and weld them back on.. if you dont remember my truck had 4" blocks in the rear, i got rid of them and it would apear sofar that i will be at about the same ride hight. ill get some pics tommaro and post them for yall. so far ive spent 400.00 dollors on this build.325.00 on the eliminaters  50.00 on dom and 30 on coil springs. the steel is scraps ive found   the leafs were givin to me. and a whole lot of white trash engineering

Dude you can have it if you haul lol.  I got your u-bolt flips with the axle mounts welded on, I even got shims to shim your pinion angle up.  And I got my rear springs if you wanted to play those too.  And if you could bring your torch over we can torch off my rear shackles and you can have those too.  Lemme know, I'm off-duty this weekend

Excellent!  If you don't want the flip kit with the shock mounts on I can hook you up with the right material...The material is 1/2 thick high carbon steel...all we gotta do is cut it to size and drill for the u-bolts.  We can torch off those mounts at my frame to get the shackles off...the mount and shackle bolts are seized together.

why thankya, the fuel tank is going in the back prolly next to the air tank im going to build a boc like your but alot smaller. i was thinking of maybe flipin my air takn over and mounting it to the exo and put the gas tank under it maybe then ill still have room for the tool bow well see how things fit when i get to it

eric if you want to do hydro assist i found new ram 2"bore 6" throw for 55.00 and the gear box is super easy to tap out

u are makin more progress than me and eric combined, i need to get after it

Birfailed

Yeah you are makin way more progress than me and phil!  When I built the box I tried to make it as small as I could without having the tank rub anything.  And it's designed so that you can pop the lid off it, unbolt the tank, and pull it out if it ever needs to.

so got the box mounted today and the steering built. finished welding everything up and  added some stregth to the crossmember.. then i got new bolts for everything and swaped them all out.  so suspension is done, exept for shox not sure what im going to do there. tommorro i hope to get the tank mounted and hoses ran. im going to take the pass beadlock apart because it leaks rear bad and try to get it sealed up.

toytank

i got the tank set in the back and got it wired but need to run the hoses still i also got my ac compresser wired to a toggle switch. i took my tire off the leaky beadlock today and got it strater and sealed up and back on that always suckes! um the front shocks are finished andthe windsheild is out.
so im waiting on the ram to finish my steering and need back shocks mounted but i think im going to buy some later. meanwhile i cut out my grille and made a winch mount and got it up there.once i get the stuff done im goping to build a box for the fuel tank and then mount a t3 t4 turbo on it. oh i almost forgot i m getting astock car canister for the powersteering fluid so that i  can hold a bit more for the hydro assitst. that also reminds me i need to get the fitting drilled out to avoid delayed steering. sh**! i may never finish but it sure is fun>
