  Now that I have your attention I keep seeing posts that only say "BUMP" what the heck does this mean?

i think it means,

that there will be more posts,

so people will go and have a look at the thread.

or they want to bump the thread back to the top of the list of threads on the forum.... I had that question a while back when I keep seeing 'ttt' posted.
That's for the same purpose 'to the top'

BTTT = Back to the top (same as bump)
Top = top (same as bump)
