Exhaust tech...dual muffler?
« on: Sep 06, 2006, 06:47:21 PM »
I am gonna sound like a HUGE old man here, but now that the engine doesn't sound like a diesel, I am noticing that I wouldn't mind quieting the exhaust some more.  Right now a have an aftermarket replacment turbo style muffler, not real loud.  What I was wondering: is there a good straight through muffler (inexpensive) I could add to the system that will not result in it sounding like a lawnmower as so many glass packs seem to do?  I won't add another turbo muffler cause its too much restriction, but I really don't care to have so much exhaust noise.  I would much rather hear the stereo or the rocks under the tires.

I used the no-name, cheapo muffler at the muffler shop.  Can hardly hear the exhaust.  I like it because it keeps falling off each year, and I like sneaking up on wildlife!

Maybe I will put a cherry bomb behind the muffler I gots now?  That could be an interesting experiment!

I've got a glasspack and a s-type generic muffler on mine, and with the headers and motor it sounds pretty good. Not real loud when you're crawlin, just nice'n low sound
