hey guess i dont think i'll be doing any motor swaps...figured it'll just be easier to drop in the same motor i have ...even though it might be a bit more expensive then some of the swaps....
i was looking at the stage 2 stroker 22re from toyota performance:
The stage 2 stroker engine is for those looking for that true dual purpose application. the idle is good, gas mileage is respectable and it is tunable for tail pipe emissions. with a stage 2 stroker engine between your frame rails, you will be asking yourself, " how did i ever drive that stock 22r for so long". with 160 hp @ 4800 rpm and 200 ft lbs of torque @ 3800 rpm at your disposal, your competition will be left scratching their heads ! just tell them, " it's only a 22rrrrr!
Features 160 hp
10-201 stage 2 pro stroker/long block $4,641.00 plus s/h
my truck is only my dd through the winter months...andi only go offroading maybe a fewtimes a yr, though i'd like to go more often
i figured this would compliment 35in tires with 5.71s and my automatic...any1 here have any experiances with this engine or any from toyota performance
since my engine hasnt fully blown its head bgasket yet i might just add a doa rv camshaft, thorley headers and maybe a filter charger.
