Welcome to the wonderful world of Marlin

btw is he Polish
Yup, his last name is Czajkowski. The "ski" denotes a polish name, and "ski" is given to the families who have been knighted by the king (back in the days). So I come from a Polish Knighthood Family Tree  :best:

i have another queston, does 221.1 ratio mean the the drive shaft turns 221 times while the axle only turns one time
No. At 221:1 (you must be referring to 223:1) the Crankshaft of the engine will turn 221 times and the tires will only turn 1 rotation. If you think about just the driveshaft, it will turn 5 and 19/64ths (apprx 5.29:1 right?) and the tires (if turned together) will turn just once, assuming you have 5.29:1 differential gearing.

HOLY CRAP THAT IS CRAZY, and you guys were saying that he has like 2000.1 ratio,  man thats awesome
Well that was back in 1997 and it was only temporary, maybe for a couple of months. Then he replaced the 1st 4.70:1 gear set with a stock 2.28:1 gear set and he then became 1,047:1.

Quote
what ratio do i have, i have a 80 toy pickup with a 20r engine with 4 speed tranny and stock transfer case with 5.29 gears!!
It is really simple to calculate. All you need to do is just multiply each gear ratio together.
You have a 3.67:1 1st gear in your transmission.
You have a 2.28:1 low range gear in your transfercase.
You have 5.29:1 differential gearing.
3.67 x 2.28 x 5.29 = 44.2646:1, or about 44:1.

here ya go have fun     http://4lo.com/calc/gearratio.htm dont forget to carry the three :working:
You know we have our own Collection of Online Calculators that you could try out too. I wrote them a very long time ago..

yes the video was a couple years ago,  the 3RZ didnt come till last fall
:smack: Actually that video was taken from the recent TTOR Big Bear Event, that was held last month during Aug. 18th-20th, 2006. So yes, that video is about two weeks ago, so that is of the 3RZ. I was laughing also when those guys were commenting on his engine. The one guy said it sounded like a "Racecar Engine" hahaha SA-WEET!! THAT'S MY 3RZ IN THERE BABY!!!!

he's only semi-polish,the polishness thins out through the generations
Actually I am 100% Polish. Before my parents (Marlin and his wife, CLC) had my older sister and I, Marlin made a pact: Since my mother is German, my sister would get 100% of the German genes and I would get 100% of the Polish genes. So my sister is 100% German and I am 100% Polish. Marlin wanted a Polish son and that's what he got with me!!

Hey Mike, I was wondering, you said Marlin's truck weighs in around 5000 lbs.  Where is he hiding all that extra weight.  I've got a stock 91 pickup and it only wieghs in around 3340 lbs without me.  I realize heavier springs and rollcages and such add weight, but it's still an awfully small truck for 5000 lbs.  So, where's it coming from, man?

Ah, I see, I forgot about the triple cases, D'oh!  So, how much more does a 3rz weigh compared to a 22re?  I'd guess they're pretty close.

he also carries a lot of spare parts for him or other people.  it should weigh a little less now that he switched to a true toyota front axle again.
