Finally got my FJ40 going after a year
« on: Aug 15, 2006, 12:19:15 PM »
Finally got the toybox and split case installed.  After delay and delay, it is in and working great.  I picked this setup from spaceghost on IH8MUD.  It is Toybox # 001.  My current setup is:

SBC 350
SM465
Toybox and Split case
Stock axles/ Welded rear, Lockrite Front
Stock springs sprung over
Saginaw PS
Disc Brakes all around

Soon I will be installing a HP FJX Electric Locker up Front.

Here are some pics as it sits right now.

Hey Chris

The trip was great, pics in the trip section.  The new drivetrain worked great.  Only thing that was a pain was the e-locker motor was not working and I had to keep it locked all the time.  We ran red, coyote and meere(sp) and it didnt have any problems.  Its amazing what 140:1 crawl ratio will do for you.  Things are finally coming together on the rig.

We need to get up and do some wheeling.  Thanks for the offer, I will let you know if I need something.

I think it would look better with cut fenders so would the Corolla in the background.
