finally getting done
« on: Jun 04, 2006, 11:49:14 AM »
this is my 84 that I have had for almost a year.  finally time to build it started it late april and it is a very slow process a most of you know.  first got rid of the bed that had about 5 gallons of bond in it(other owner).  relocated the gas tank bobed the frame rite behind the shackles.  went with gm 12 bolt in the rear and a 10 bolt up front.  planing on going with chevy 63 in the rear.  moved the front rear foward about 3" and out boarded the front springs.  installed mc duals 2.28 for now plan or going 4.7 in the rear case.   building custom rock sliders and front bumper to hold my 9000lbs. winch.  i'm running 38x12.5x15 swampers on black rock crawlers.  i made double shackles for the rear but maybe making diffrent ones, depending on how the work.  i cant wait to get this done and get on  the trail.  any input would be a get help.

Nice...might be time to do somethin about that steering though.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
