After a five hour nap, here is a recap of the trip. :moods:

Everyone met on the lakebed as planned just before 8. LoseKannon, Wheeler Peeler, Dizzydevil, Krawler 76 and Rock Hound (I am missing about 4 more rigs from this group :ack:) and the Redlands group split up. We figured 12 to 14 rigs on one trail at night was a bit much. We did Wrecking Ball, LooseKannon and company did Outlimits.

The one thing I forgot to bring on the trip was my camera. :smack: We started the trail around 8:30 p.m. and finally made it back to the lakebed at 5 a.m.     The trail was tough, but the one thing that held us up, Howard's 4 Runner. :shocking:

The first carnage, while high centered, his fan on the 350 made contact with the radiator. After a lot of creative work, some stop leak and a LONG time it was fixed. :clap2: Then on the last big waterfall he broke a front hub.  :o Getting that piggy 4 Runner up that waterfall in three wheel drive was a challenge :headscratch:

We had a great time.  :) We are all definately better spotters after following the Zukizzy spotting method of "Driver" & "Passenger"

I can't wait for the next run, next time I'll remember the camera. :yesnod:

We had some fun :yesnod: Outerlimits gave us a good run. Had one flop and had a real good trail repair. Broken upper link and ripped off upper link mount. Good thing someone had a welder. My rear tires were having some issues holding air, but by the end they were holding. The last water fall was good. Didn't get back to the lake bed till around 7 in morning.

Don't have the cord to my camera so no pictures till I get it back.

Thanks everyone for coming out it was fun

The only reason for the DRIVER and PASSENGER directions is cause Our spotter is uneducamated and can't remember his right from his left. I thought I escaped with no carnage from this trip but the big puddle of gear lube under the front dif made me currious so I pulled the cover last night and it seems I broke a chunk out of the front d44 center section. I don't know how with the light footed driving i do???

Any breakage in Mrs. Izzy's rig is probably my fault. :lipsrsealed: About 50 yards from the top of Wrecking Ball is a nasty notch that everyone had trouble with. Body damage was certain. :driving: The average time through this spot for the first four rigs was easily 10 to 15 minutes each. :disturbed: Then Zukizzy, our tailgunner was up.  :usa: He was slowly crawling up to the notch when the call "30 SECONDS" was yelled out. :eyebrow: In true rock crawling competition style, that Jeep was through the obstacle in about 29 seconds.

Nah not your fault being full width I was always going to try to get even further over on the right that you were, and not having to worry about the body makes a heavy foot approach kind of fun. It seems to me that red RV 4 runner made short work of some of the hardest obstacles out there. the one where Howard broke the first time, you made look easy and you had the last notch cleared but we were trying to keep the body off the rock. the winch point was driveable the way you had it lined up if it weren't 3:30 in the am and nobody wanted to delay any longer.
I think I actualy broke it while Howard was stuck up on that big water fall with the broken hub. everyone was helping him and I went down to move up the jeep. with no spotter I did not do a good job of looking at the rocks in front of the parked jeep and just slammed her in gear. Then promptly ended up slamming the front diff into a big finger of rock which I had to drag back off of. That was the only time I remember abusing the front toooooo bad.

Wayne when are we going again?

I just got off the phone with Howard and the carnage continues. :( Apparently that waterfall also took out his front Detroit locker.  :_oops: Anyone have an old Dana 44 30 spline "392 and up" Detroit for sale. :help:

Howard may not be ready, but I am up for another Hammer run. :yesnod:

I know of an old style ARB for cheap 392 and up 30 spline. Or a lock right but that is not howards style.

He wants a Detroit but we found out the part that is broken is only $160. :lipsrsealed:

When is the September Cougar Buttes Pro Rock event again? Maybe we can do another night run that weekend. :dunno:

Sept 30th weekend. I won't do any beating on the car during that weekend plus I am too tired after a day of pitching rocks. but we are going to practice before. maybe a night run for the sept moon.
