toyota drivetrain into a '48 willys...
« on: Jul 16, 2006, 05:48:58 PM »
i've got a question, and i hope i put this in the right place...

my dad has a '48 willys jeep that he wants to put a toyota drivetrain in. as it is, we've got most of the stuff to do it, including a couple EFI 22R's. the problem is, we don't know where to start with it, as far as wiring goes. so i was just wonderin'  if maybe you guys could kinda point me in the right direction...

anyways, any help will be appreciated.

a 22R only needs a couplewires to the alt,  a couple to the starter, 1 to the choke  and if you go weber carb, then thats it, besides  temp gauge and oilpressure,  all that smog crap  you dont need

he said efi 22rs, meaning that would be a 22re unless he did some custom conversion stuff to the carbed 22r
