looking for good leaf springs for 86 runner w/sas
« on: Jul 14, 2006, 09:07:15 AM »
I have an 86 SAS 4runner. right now it is sitting on stock 85 front leafs. this was just temporary. i am just trying to find out the difference between the marlin us made springs and the import springs. iam assuming that quality is a large part of it. any info would help. planning on 4" front and 5" rear.

i know im far from the first to praise the wonders of the rear up front springs but they are cheap and they do really well.

Stock toy rears with a couple extra springs added in (usually just 2, athen another 1 or 2 later as the pack breaks in and depending on how heavy you are) are known to do extremely well up front, you just need to put good wraps on them so they dont fan out horribly. In the back you have all kinds of options. Longer springs with a properly set shackle are a easy recipe for good flex.   :beerchug:
