hey everybody!, just picked up a project a couple of months ago and am new to the early toyota scene. I used to have a 95 nissan hardbody and it got me hooked on the sport, sold it due to breaking steering and ifs stuff all the time got out of the sport for over a year till i came upon this gem of a late 85 for $1300 with a blown motor
before i bought it
sas swap with what looks to be an allpro off road kit
4.56 gears, american racing 15x8 AR-23's, heim style/rod end (drag link?) the one from the steering gear to knuckle, rear add-a-leafs, newer bench seat, front range crosmember and skid, and an ok stereo.
in the last two months i have done...
longer rear shackles, new fully built Custom machine 2.7 stroker with rock crawler cam, larger injectors, 33" trail cutter m/t's, marlin dual case setup, new custom driveshafts, custom rear hitch bumper, custom door and interior trim panels, new carpet on the way, new heavy duty clutch, custom longer axle breathers, added a/c, soon to order lockers when i decide what i want, and of course all new oils in everything.
need to do a better rear spring and shock setup though, because its way too stiff

thanks, by duce you mean the 6x6 military/fire service truck with Rockwells? it belongs to a customer at my dads work, the guy bought it brought it to my dads shop to get it running right and get it all maintnenced and ready to run, the guy had plans to bring it to his house in mexico but they wont let him across the border with it for some reason??? so i think its for sale now
