I decided i was tired of waiting and trying to find a long bed for the truck so i decided to put panels in the sides and put a tailgate on the flat bed so i can acually use it like a normal truck bed I'll post up pics tomorrow. Oh ya the truck is getting a new paint job as well stay tuned for that one.

I went up on friday it was fun but the snow sucked just dust. I learned my little truck can go when it wants to. Here is a couple pics.

You cant really tell in the pic above but were on top of about four feet of snow

Well justin in the bottom picture  we were just off of the main road an playing, there is only about two feet there, in the top pic it look shallow because there is about four-five inches of ice on TOP of about four feet of snow. Ask any one who was there they will tell you the same thing!

I just got a stock push pull power steering unit for my truck i know its not the best thing but its better that the manual steering i had on the truck. I've already taken off the stuff except the box. I noticed that the knuckles seem really loose especially on the drivers side it takes almost no effort at all to move the knuckle back and forth. I was wondering is this bad or should i replace the berfs or what. I don't know im still learning. But if i need to replace something i would rather do it now before i put it all back together and find out something is broken thanks in advance for the help.

If I remember right, you got your truck from your dad?  Ask him when the last time he had the front bearings and knuckle serviced?  Sounds like you just need to rebuild your knuckles!  Just order Marlin's repair kit!  I would just service the whole axle!  Call them and they will tell ya exactly what you will need!  Or send them an e-mail, I know sometimes it's easier to get a hold of them this way!

MC-12006, Knuckle Kit W/Wheel Bearings, $145

Looks like it should come with everything you need!  Also, will need the scale too!

MC-17101, Knuckle Pull Scale, $9.99

Just go to the axle page and everything will be there for ya to decide on what ya need!

how do i set the preload for the knuckles? or do i even need to do this. I asked my dad about it and he said he has never has the knuckles redone but the bearings were done about 75,000 miles ago or so. It's time to redo the whole axle and put a locker in it while im at it.

Ok so im just gonna leave the knuckles alone until i save up a little money to put a locker, bobby longs, and the rebuild kit in, but do i still have to reset the preload on the knuckles even if i just took the steering arms off.

thanks

I got the power steering all done now, however it doesn't run now! This truck has a mind of its own i swear, one minute it runs like a dream the next it wont even turn over. Its getting spark, and air, i changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump is pumping gas but it still doesn't run. I take that back it ran for about 10 min but it shut off like someone turned the key off and won't fire again. I didn't blow the timing chain because the rotor is still spinning, its getting fuel (i think) and its getting spark. Do  you think that it might have a carb issue?

I put a new coil on the truck tonight because i was SURE that was the problem but it wasn't, when the motor get warmed up the fuel pump quits pumping fuel. So tomorrow ill get a new pump and hopefully that will fix her.  :crossed:

Plexiglass would be cool I considered doing that to mine and haiving it extend to the rocker/door jamb so the mud/dirt wouldn't fly in my face.

You lost a little visability by adding that white pice. Are you gonna paint that white part to match the truck?
