Actually I think the Livermore Ford isn't open on weekends. I know Future Ford in Sac is open 24 hrs a day, but not for parts and delivery, just the wrenchin section

Well I called and talked to the head manager who interviewed me. He doesn't want to go over his department manager's head and bring me in until the DM gets in from bein sick. He says as far as he's concerned I'm an employee there already we just have to fine tune the details

One manager says I'm hired, the other says he's still interviewing folks. I'm kinda really

cuz I already quit the ranch. But I believe that if it doesn't work out then it isn't meant to happen.

Reguardless, you were meant to quit the ranch even though it is a family thing. Maybe down the road it will come back to you but you were never happy having to deal with some of those kids. FYI my wife was a special ed teacher dealing with the same type of kids you did, she ended up having one of them break her neck. Most of these kids are crack babies and such already hooked on drugs from day 1.

I went in and the guy told me my job discription which I didn't have a problem with. My problem is the pay per hour that he wants to pay me. I told him I'm keeping my options open and that I'm needing a little more than that. Either he's gonna say he'll pay me more, or I can go find a job that will pay me what I need

Overall, if it works out, cool.... if not... then it's not meant to be

typically for something like that they are only alloted so much. Unless you are in an area where it is really hard to get good help, like our area, you aren't going to get more then they want to pay.
And it doesn't hurt to take something while still keeping your options open but if you can afford to wait it out it's a lot easier to look when you aren't currently employed.

My neighbor worked at ford's parts dept. back in high school. And he worked his arse off. Then he got a job at UPS for two or three years. One day the parts manager retired, and they needed to fill the position, and they called him back and offered him more pay than he made at UPS! Sometimes a crappy paying job turns into a really good paying job! So, good luck in what you do!
