Hey guys I'm a noob to the whole 4wheel culture.  Last year I sold my '99 Tacoma and '01 IS300 to get a new Titan.  I had to get out of the underground street racing scene because it was costing me too much money!  Now I am kicking myself in the ass after going 4wheeling for the first time with some friends because I should have never got rid of my Tacoma after seeing what a stock 4runner could do :smack:

However I just purchased a 1988 4runner over the weekend for a measly $200.  This is going to be my new project  but my wife hates the idea!

I'm located in south Denver

I got out of hotrods to keep from killing someone street racing, I used to play with dirtbikes and wanted to still do something on 4 wheels so it was a natural fit to get in a 4x4. You'll find a 4x4 is a money pit too. Our project trucks are always being built and never finished.

Right on, I just replied to you in another thread you had started.  I am working on a 4Runner project as well
I am building up an 84, taking out the 22R and putting in a 22RE from an 85 that I bought.  I am right in the middle of building up my motor and swapping the wiring harnesses and fuel tanks.

Good buy on the 4Runner!  Does it have AC?  That's the only thing mine is missing.  It would be nice to have for my 14 month old daughter in the 100 degree heat.
