EFI swap questions
« on: Jun 19, 2006, 02:13:57 PM »
I looked through the FAQ here and searched "EFI swap"  which yielded 6 or so somewhat informative threads however, I still have some questions.

I have an 84 Toyota p/u with a 22r that was rebuilt at a dealership 25k ago (motor is possibly out of a celica)

I have agreed to purchase a complete EFI system out of an 84 celica locally.  he is willing to get me whatever I need to make the swap.  I know the harness, cpu, and the intake.  that's all I know.

Please help me help him by listing for me what all I need to make it happen.  Links to GOOD writeups would be great as well. pictures are great as well.  gimme a hand b/c I don't want to get half way into it and find out my rig will be down for a month, y'know?  thanks  :king:
I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

Answer

I am going to read every word of it but it says that it's only good for 85-88' and wires/plugs/connectors may not work together.  my JUNK is an 84 and so is my donor?  that being said, I'll go back to reading this and hopefully answer my ?'s... thanks mini

I've read it all now (4pages of tech pretty much)...  I will be ok now.
planning to run an external fuel pump with my carb'd tank.  this is a much bigger job than I thought it'd be but
it should be worth it.  wish me luck.  thanks again mini.
