I'd be real interested to see what it looks like on, I couldnt find any pics of one on.

Here's the closest thing I could find to what it might look like when it's on.
RIP Kyle, we love and miss you man.  :smooch:

For your wheels sometime.  I'd reccomend a set of SSR comp   Tirerack carries em, and I bought a set of the 16" to replace the 14's that were on my old miata.  Awesome simply cuz they are lightweight, offset's perfect, and they are the color of brakedust, so lazy people like me don't have to scrub wheels as hard

Skinny_Pedal

up to the front bumper i was impressed. but to each is his own and i will not diss. good work man

Nice work, killer deal, I love  it when things work out like that. Love the color too.

DTB

so whats the deal jan, what's going on with this thing? ( :eye: Y :eye: )

Hey thanks for all the input guys!  OK, so here's the deal.  The car has been painted for awhile now.  My Dad was just taking his time painting all the little things like the Z3 inserts on the fenders, the cute little Type R front grill and the mirrors.  And then the windows started giving him a hard time, but he replaced the motor (the teeny little power windows motor that is...haha) and now everything works great!

Brian just got a big pay check from lots of extra tree work and we went ahead and ordered the hood last week!  :woohoo:  So that's on its way, and as soon as it gets here, we just have to slap it on and it's a driveable machine!  Then we can bring it down here to our house and I can clean the inside out really well.  It's pretty dusty from sitting around in Dad's garage.

So now the last REALLY necessary thing we're down to is the wheels.  I'll look into widenerkj's suggestion and others, but I'm not sure when we'll be ready to spend that money with Christmas coming up and all.  I'll just be happy to have it in OUR garage.

Soon as we get the hood on, I'll take some more pics and get them on here!   :yesnod:

do what most ricers do and jsut put 2 nice wheels on the back and run stockers on the front..... then it will only cost half as much

no i use to work @ a tire shop.. stock steelies with radials (not drag tires) on front and some nice 17s or 18s with low pros on the back for everyday street driving

:psss: it was a joke!  It started with drag racers, then the ricers in the crowd thought they'd look like a racer if they ran that way too.

jan i wouldnt recommend running true lo-pros on the street. Hit one good size pothole (which I'm sure u guys have plenty in PA) and you're done. Ask me how I know :hahaha:

That and it's hard to tell when you have a flat on low pros.  Lowest I'd go is 50 series

Alrighty so back to the steenking smelly civic that started all of this.  LOL.  Here's the hood that I shall get my hands on eventually.......

Please don't leave the hood black.  I'm not sure the weight savings will be enough to make up for the added heat in the engine compartment from the black.

NOW i'm gonna be forced to post up a pic of my very first car.  A PINK CRX  with a little green lightening bolt down each side.

I'm gonna just go ahead and let you off the hook right now and give you permission to laugh at me heartily.  Just keep in mind......I was only 16!!!  And I LOOOOVED it.  hahaha.

I'll have to dig up a pic and scan it tonight.   :yesnod:    I know you'll be on the edge of your seat waiting!

EDIT:  Wow I lied!  I should say my very first HONDA.  Cuz my very first CAR was a 74 Nova!

:yesnod:  ya got that right!  I'd love to have another one too.  I only got rid of mine because it had 180,000 miles on it.  Traded it in on my white Civic.

when I sold mine I had 298,000 on the clock and it drove like a DREAM. I never had a single problem with it for the 5 years that I drove it. Did mods and changed the fluids, other then that it never gave me any trouble.

only problem I had was people seemed to want it more then me (people tried to steal it alot)

had a 35 lb rock tossed threw the back windshield, changed out multiple dock locks/ignition (yea that was fun! ... )

got to the point where it wasn't worth having it around just to get it broken into nearly every night.

yeah man, why do people have to suck so bad???   :stopit:

at any rate, I can't figure out where my good pics are of my CRX and Nova.  But here's the pink CRX, just not the best pic.  I know I have better somewhere.

And then the Nova, pre-paint job.  not that it got much better!  LOL!  I guess I wasn't 16 when I had the CRX cuz that Nova was my first car and I drove it for almost 2 years before I rolled it over.  Then came the CRX.  At any rate, here we go........ enjoy!  haha

NOTE the "No Fear" sticker across the top of the windshield of the CRX!  HOW COOL WAS I????
