:attention:  Allllllrighty guys and gals, so the burple civic is now completely burple.  It looked a lot more purple in the garage and now that it's outside it looks more blue.  So I guess lighting will affect what color it looks at the time.

Here is the latest photo. I forgot my digital camera when I went up to my Dad's the other day so I took this with my phone.

The slotted inserts on the fenders still need painted black, along with the little Type R grill thingie for the front.  Next on the list is the VIS carbon fiber hood, and new wheels and tires.

I'll get some better pics up soon.

Thanks for staying "tuned."  LMAO.   :rofl2:  I am so funny!     :outtahere:

Not quite diggin the front end (bigger fan of drop stock bodied car to the ground, lighten the crap out of it and build BIG power). I like the color though.

Thank you DTB.  I don't understand why people bother to look at this thread and feel the need to comment if they don't even like it.  That's why it's in CCC.  So it isn't bothering anyone.  If you don't like "ricers" GO AWAY!

All this car is is an interest of mine, OK?  I'm not trying to race you at a red light...I'm not trying to do ANYTHING.  Some people have kids, some people have pets.  I happen to have a Civic.  I don't get on other CCC threads and tell people their kids are ugly or their pets are dumb.  So PLEASE, a little respect here?

Gonna get a VIS carbon fiber hood as soon as we get the money around.  The one I want is about $600.  Haven't even begun thinking about wheels and tires yet.  We'll probably just drive it home from Dad's garage hoodless and leave it sit in OUR garage on the stock wheels until we feel like spending the money.  haha.  Can't be taking away from the truck fund!  :nope:

Actually both of those are history, I traded the Malibu for my 1st Toyota 4x4 after the umpteenth time I floated a valve and traded the El Camino for a car and a V65 Magna. The El Camino was my wife's and the Malibu was mine, I used to be into street racing but as you get older (27??) I decided that it was just too dangerous so I got the Toyota and started wheeling, of course I also had the bike so I started racing it a little here and there but nothing like the old days. Then I guess I had another Revelation on tumbling down the street on the bike and sold it. Now I just hang off the edge of cliffs in my Sammi or my Suzuki 200, death wish I guess.

Not that I don't like your car, it is cute looking but I go for more function over form, most of that add-on stuff will just slow you down in a race, and what ever you do don't put a goofy wing on the back, talk about slowing you down. I had to learn my kid on stuff like that now when he gets older he will ask himself how much faster will this make me go over how much cooler I look with this on my car.

If you haven't noticed all of my 4x4's don't have all the trick little set ups that everyone must have for this years fashion statement but my rigs still will wheel right with them. I sit down and look at what is the current trend then ask myself would this make me wheel better or is it just the latest look at me my truck is awsome fashion statement.

It is cute though.

Hey fast is fun, but so is extremely sloooooooow, and is why you join Marlin's crew. Each one is a different thrill, it's just that if you wanna go fast you must take into account that we as normal everyday people are not going to be going 200 mph. so all that add-on go fast plastic just gets in the way of going even faster with less pedal. I showed a guy at my work once how much slower his car accellerated at speed with one of those 10 foot tall wings bolted to the back of his car. He was stunned at how much he gained without it. I'm not saying that a wing in the rear doesn't have it place keeping you pinned to the racing surface but under 100 mph. it is just in the way.

There were a few girlie gurls that could slap me around, that Elco is a SS454 that my wife had, my 327 Malibu was good for a quarter mile run but that Elco would slap me around beyond that and if we started from a roll I was dead meat from the start.

I bet the magna made for some interesting races!  Nothin like pullin up next to a sportbike on a cruiser, askin if he wants to race then absolutely stompin him!  If I remember right, those were the first production 10 second bikes.  Gotta love the sound of a tuned v4, kinda like a mini v8.
RIP KYOTA

 ...and I had a faring too, which made them even more embarssed. Plus when I had it bikes were pretty much in flux from the old inlines to the V's, and I loved coming up next to a tricked out KZ or CB and have them rap the throttle....... Green light, bye, bye.

hmmm, interesting pick.....i like the lines....

IMHO, im not a fan of scooped hoods..more of a cowel/vented man. But, it is a decent lookin scoop, not dramatic like most others. Id be real interested to see what it looks like on, I couldnt find any pics of one on.
