Looking for 2 inch or 3 inch body lift for my 80 yota pickup

hi, i want a somewhat cheap but good quality and easy to install 2 inch or 3 inch body lift, also what things would i have to do to install a body lift, i know that i would have to get the feul tank hose lengthened, and lengthen my shifters and my steering . what else would i have to do, also are these body lifts easy to install, thanks!!

They are pretty easy to do, if you do the 2 inch you shouldn't have to mod anything really. Just watch very carefully as you lift the body, watch for binding of wires, hoses and the like. The steering rod is a colapsable rod for accidents you just loosen the nut and let it pull out as you lift and re-tighten it after your done. The kits come with everything including new brackets for moving your bumper and radiator. I wouldn't do anymore than a 2 inch or you will start running into issues with body roll and shifting, it really sucks when you slam on the brakes to avoid an accident and the body travels 2 inches further  than the frame.

i think im going to build my own,  i have some 2x2 tubing,  i think i'll  cut the proper lengths  and weld them to the bottom of the cab supports

git you sum hockey pucks and start drilling. haha j.k. I would say 4crawler too. There is actually a lot of info on their site regarding installation and just general info about body lifts. They'll tell ya the same thing Rocksurfer did. Don't go above 2 inches.

You will make holes in the floor of your cab if you don't cap that tubing. Many years ago when we were young and stupid we made our own with some tubing and they busted through the floorboard. Of course the owner would jump it which didn't help much either.

Anything that can spread the weight out would work. Some plating maybe. I think 4crawler makes theirs wider than stock to compensate

That is what we ended up doing, we put plates under the body to spread it around some. Plus we had a hole to cover up.

um  i wouldnt even think about cutting the tubing and standing it up    there is like 5-6 inches between the supports i intend to span that distance with the 2x2 square tube   so the 2x2  will be laying parallel with the frame of the truck
