1tons on toyota pickup?

I've seen 1 ton axles on Toyota has anyone done this lately?    I have a set of 1tons from a military ambulance..
  Dana 60 and 14 bolt.. I'm thinking of putting them on my Toyota. both axles are locked an both with 4.56 gears  please post any photos or information on this type of project....
  or has anyone used sky's manu.  full width axle conversion...

I was going that route on my 79 mini.  I was gonna put the D60/D70 combo from a Kaiser M715 under it.  Unlocked with 5.87's but drum brakes.  The main prob I ran into was the leaves being too narrow to easily mount to the front 60.  The chunk was just too far over and the passenger side springpack would've had to mount up on the side of the chunk.  I have no idea how a newer, nicer 60 compares though.  Good luck.

they dont just bolt up.. you have to build a crossmember

Go for it dude, sounds like you already got the goods for a heavy duty toyota build. Make sure you take lots of pictures.
