Chopperman and Ghettowheeler from the pirate board are planning on Moonrocks for Memorial.  I guess i might be going too.  I have never been to Moonrocks but the pics look fun.  Only a couple hours drive for me so it isn't bad.  I don't have specifics yet.  but i would rather go there then fordice because of the river crossing.

I highly doubt i'll have enough money to do anything but sit at home and drink my cool-aid left over from the jambo on memorial day

Hyena

It's a little over a month away, you can't save up enough?  Your truck really doesn't need anything.

Ramrod

It needs a new windshield and mirror by the middle of next week for a fix it ticket and I barely have money for gas to get to school and I also Have to pay my cell phone bill and my parents the $250 I borrowed to go to the hammers

Ramrod

I also want to just save up some money because being broke sucks.  If i'm gonna look like a baller cruisin my truck bumpin I need to at least be able to have a couple bucks to take a girl out.

quite unlikely i'm gonna drive 2 hours to mow a lawn.  I'm getting a new construction job in 3 weeks when schools over starting at $16.50/hr so I should be alright on money but im still going to berryessa

Its more like a large collection of different rock formations, I dont think its really a trail is it?

I looked on Dreamflows for the Fordyce crossing but couldn't find it for some reason.

Well hell, I want to do a trial. I'm thinking of heading into the 'con for my trucks virgin run. I'd like some of the more talented/experienced drivers to be out there too. But if your all going for moonrocks then I guess I'll press on.

Hey Pat how long of a drive is that from our area? I'm checkin out pictures from that link and considering how much snow will still be up at the 'Con I am rethinking. I want to be somewhere warm to drink my beer for memorial weekend :chug: then maybe a weekend or two after that we can hit up the Rubicon.

Is the Moonrocks a place to spend a weekend or just one day?  :dunno: I can't tell for sure from the pictures but it doesn't appear to be very large.  I am considering going there over Fordice but I don't want to go somewhere that is a day trip vs a weekend trip.

Any info from those that have been there would be appreciated.

:talkingn:

I think 200-250 cfs is pushing it, yea it wont be passed at that height unless you've got ballon tires, 20 ft. lift and a snorkle.

KYOTA

Moonrocks isnt a trail but a huge formation of granite/sandstone super traction rock. Killer obstacles, guaranteed carnage and the nicething about 'the rocks is its all right there, you can tow right in, camp right on the spot and wheel within feet of camp. About 15 miles out of Reno North on 445  towards Pyramid Lake, left on Winamucca Ranch Road till it turns to gravel, about another mile or so 'the rocks are up the hill on the left. Party on Garth! Maybe see everyone down there. Con and fordyce are gonna be cold and snowy, Moonrocks dry and sunny. There is talk of some of the Webilt crew going as well  :lipsrsealed:

KYOTA

Oh and the suck about Moonrocks- lots of dirtbikes and quads screamin around on the hillside and thru camp

Ramrod

i don't know how far of a drive it is to moon rocks but i'm guessing like 4.5 hours or something.  RHG i'm sure youve heard of berryessa on memorial day right?  Well its a guaranteed party if girls gone wild crew is going there  and that should be enough said

KYOTA

how long does it take you to get to Reno? I know Reno is around 120 miles from Penryn, and you guys are from Sac right? so another 45 minutes on top of that roughly?

CRS

I will be there look for me in this and stop by to say hello.

It's about 2 hours i would guess to reno from Roseville i believe.  Only 15 more miles from there.

Its amazing, every single time i'm at the Con or Fordyce I run into Case and his buddy with the Zuk. Those guys must live on those two trails, good bunch of ppl though!

Doubt i'll be ready by then...................
