Well it would be worse if none of this money had come from working. Sure I do stuff for my parents 99% of people my age do. My parents are paying me for the work I do so I don't go out and get a regular job. They offered to pay me when I starting bringing applications home after I lost my temporary job at Target.

Yeah, they're called chores :headshake:  I wish my parents would have paid me that much for chores :hahaha:

so how's the truck search coming?  Obviously this has set you back, but how much?  when are you gonna get your next yota?  :dunno:

This set me back a little under 1600, but I have more mods on the way. I may be a while out on a new yota now...I figure get my car lowered a little, tint the windows, and maybe tires/wheels if I can get a good deal on them.

no :pokinit: BD! My parents paid me an allowance for my chores, but ain't no way I would have saved up $1600 by doing chores during my entire childhood.
Count yourself lucky you have such generous parents WA.
So I assume your speeding ticket fund comes out of your 'chore pay' as well

My dad gave me a 1979 Mercedes-Benz 240D. It is a 4-cylinder non-turbo diesel with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Runs like a dump truck! Not much for the speed, needless to say....

I think we got $1 a week for doing chores, which included picking up after 1-2 dogs (healty dogs at that) and a pear tree.  Pear trees suck!!!

I used to give my kids $10.00 a week until one of them went to the labor board, they came in and shut me down until I got workers compinsation insurance and told me I had to pay them minimum wage...... I fired all my kids, and hired illegals.

I have been saving since 13 doing odd jobs. My mom lost her liscense and they have been paying me to drive her around. I get to have a real job next month because she is getting her occupational.

so ma had a little too much Dom at the govenors mansion, and now she pays you to drive her? thats a riot. I did everything that was expected (on a small farm)   for  a place to live, food, and  clothes. oh and that was from when I was old enough to get out there and do it -8

:yesnod:  never lived on a farm, but as soon as I could reach the mower handle, I was mowing.  And because the gas mower was too "dangerous"  I got to mow with one of those old reel mowers.   Before that, my folks sent me out with a pair of scissors :hahaha:

Driving his mother around! How did I miss that one!! Now THERE is a chore that will really put some hair on his chest! I am sure he has earned EVERY CENT! :rofl2:
We didn't have a farm, but I was using the push mower on our 1/4 acre property till my father got us a small riding mower.
Other then that I was doing my own laundry from the time I could reach the top of the washer, vacuuming and other household chores, not to mention babysitting my younger brothers and sister, for about $5/week if I can remember that far back.

When I was young, very young, and asked for money I was told to go to the neighbors houses and ask if I could do odd jobs.  You don't know how rewarding it is to pull weeds for 4 hours and get that shiny quarter!  Oh wait, what am I saying, sometimes I got two!  Even at that age I felt used
