FATBOY's 85 Makin' Progress
« on: Apr 12, 2006, 05:11:46 AM »
I've been busy sense I got back from Uwharrie wheelin' trip. I ripped out the interior and the seats and replaced the seat with one I got a seat from Justin (unbreakable) it has a few holes in it but it looks 10x's better than what was in it.
I got it runnin great and the cam and headers sound like a top fuel dragster but not as loud  :gap:
I've gotta remove the aluminum rear lift blocks cuz they are busted
I shortend the frame about 6" and made a bumper outta 4" angle iron.
Re ran the wires for the rear lights :psss: they were skent up bad   :shakehead: put me some lights on it
I still need gears for the front and tires.
I also got a utility trailer from a friend of mine that had been in a wreck that I'm gonna cut up and make a bed for it.

Go fats, go fats!! :hahaha:
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I pulled the lift blocks out 2-day and the bolt that runs through the right spring is broke  :sad2: So I'll have to wait till I go back to work (yesterday and 2-day is my weekend) so I can get some new ones
It has ad a-leafs and it makes it have too much arch in the springs I'm thinking of takin' em out.

Forget the chevies, go with some F150's. From my experience they work much better under a toy.
