to tell you the truth I've been looking into tubes. If a tire cant be repaired with a plug on the trail and the sidewall needs to be sewn up, break it down and throw a tube in. Wouldnt take any room to carry a tube. just need to find a tube with a metal stem and jam nut

Finally ponied up the $$ for the aluminum to skin the bed. Made cardboard templates to fit perfect first because you only get one shot with the alumium, no mistakes allowed = $$$$$.
I still need to fasten it down, was going to rivet it but I dont want the rivets popping from the vibes and abuse and cracking panels so I will drill and tap the tube and use some 7/16" or 1/4" button head bolts. This will allow for easier panel removal if need be.

waiting on a second set of tank brackets so I can get precise mounting locations in the supports so the bed floor can be marked and drilled.

What happened to your other flat bed?
Tony that came and picked it up from you has it sitting in his yard, I decided to build my own rather than go after it, they were going to put it on another friends 83 but decide it was too small for what he wanted so I think they may be trying to get rid of it. want it back?  :ha_ha:

Sure, I can weld it to the top of Snohman's junk. NO I DON'T WANT IT.
I'm sure you could get rid of it easy enough.

KYOTA you making Brad pick it up is still too much. You should deliver that POS and pay him to take it.

finished mounting the skins yesterday and mounted the propane tanks today then got it ready for a drive. First time its been driven with the hydro assist since I tore it down to build the flatbed right after that. Drives freakin sweeet and with the flatbed I can see the rear tires easily, this will rawk in the rocks!
