"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

I didnt want it touching the body, it just kind of ended up a couple fingers width away.

yeah its annoying when it rattles against the body.  Its just personal preference i guess, I like an exo alot more when it is tight to the body.

Yeah I would rock that camper for sure!  great for wheelin/campin trips man..  You think that Dodge would be able to pull your crawler on a trailer with the camper still on the truck too?

not in its current state, but once i turn up the injection pump and do a few mods im sure it would, but if i can get a couple thousand $$ for the camper it makes the price of the truck alot more attractive

I love the front half of your exo (since I have a reg-cab) but are you gonna add a bar at the front corner by the light? I have a similar stinger so I'm really digging this exo...   How much steel have you used on the exo?

Love your tires; do you lock your garage at night?  :shhh:

Are you gonna do up some support plates for the rear shackles?

That camper is  :bumpinbutts:  :boobs:; got an intercooler on that coal burner? My friend is BIG into Dodge diesels and he always talks about "turning up the fuel screw" for more power but less mileage. His 99 x-cab gets about 18 mpg as a DD...

Yea we are still adding some bracing the front, it took us awhile to figure out what would look right up there, i actually lost count of how much steal but i think we have used 8-10 21' sticks including screw ups.  As far as the rear shackles did you mean  putting some tube between the sides of each shackle?  If so i hadn't thought much about it but it sure wouldn't hurt.   The dodge has a factory inter-cooler, and I'm definitely going to be turning up the fuel screw !   Thanks for the compliments on the exo!

Yep; to me it looks like they'll twist when flexing in off-camber situations and that can't be good for the bushings/bolts/springs... When I did my 63s I had to widen the rear shackles about 3/8" so I stuck a chunk of 1/4" thick C-channel between the shackle plates and stitched it up. So far, so good...  :crossed:

Good looking cage, the top looks like its still easy to remove.  Is your front hanger flush with the cross member? I see your axle is two inches forward, do you come close to rubbing in the front with those Iroks?

The hanger is flush, the axle is moved forward via custom alcans, but they rub pretty badly at full lock against the spring clamps, thats even with 1.5" spacers.

I'm around 2" forward and I have 2inch back spaced wheels and had to set my steering stops accordingly.  I was thinking about moving up to 38's but I think I will have to tub the firewall. good looking rig!
