Different steering Arms
« on: Mar 25, 2006, 05:16:01 PM »
Any one know of a shop that makes a steering arm to locate the tie rod to the back of the axle? Similar to an FJ80 style. The draglink would stay in the front like everyother high steer kit. I'm trying to make room for a true 4link front end. Triangulated and all that fun stuff.  l/\l I plan on moving the axle forward another 2" from the 1.5" that it is already. Totallying 3.5" from stock.

I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

your box goes in the same place it does now,   the pic they showed was a chevy  i think :dunno:   but  they  put the tierod behind the axle  and they use the ackerman theory  which mean  you get NO tire scrub

Will that steering setup work with a high pinion third?

It sounds like they are making each set of arms custom to each vehicles particular needs. So I'd have to say yes.
