:therethere:   You'll get it.  It totally does get frustrating when your in the middle of something that you cant figure out.

Well, turns out my suspicions were confirmed and it's not a tune issue.  It's now blown up, makin this neat TANK TANK TANK sound

So I'll be poppin in this thread a lot :haha: , as well as my new buildup thread

Yeah my block huggers are defiantly inside the frame I haven't decided what I am going to do yet.  Probably run everything else on the outside of the frame since I am rebuilding the whole truck.

Pulled my shifter surround to weld up a hole in the floor, decided to finally put in my shifter seat and socket, found my crawl box shifter missing 2 bolts...no wonder it was loose... :smack:

Just changed oil, and gear oil in tranny and crawl boxes

We put in a V6 rear end in my '84 extra cab.  :eyebrow: We did the vented rotors and V6 caliper upgrade along with the booster and master from the V6 unit.  Also had to extend parking brake cables too.  :gap: Stops great too!  Thanks, to Tallchevy350 for the help!

Heh I just did the same exact thing a couple weeks ago to my 85 4runner. the new stopping power sure as hell beats the setup i did have. not to mention my rotors were toast along with the pads up front and i needed to bleed the brakes so bad i had to pump the pedal about 4 times every time i needed to stop. talk about sketchy. only after doing the swap did i realize how poor my old brakes were

Pulled the valve cover today to see if anything looked funny.  Everything was intact and moved like it should, pulled plugs and tried looking at pistons, but without a bore scope or good pin light it was futile.  Drained the oil to see if any chunks o steel came out, but it just looked like dingy old oil.  Prepped the engine to pull out, just gotta find a cherry picker or a-frame asap to yard that puppy out and get into it.

The head job on the 90 is almost done finally. Working under a tarp during the winter is not fun. New Enginebuilder head, new head bolts, cleaned & painted a bunch. Rust never sleeps around here. Need to get a new gasket for the tailpipe to cat, it fell apart when I picked it up. Install distributor, intake tube & tail pipe & it is done.

Had a free exhaust manifold for the 85 since the one that is on it cracked. Took a while to drill the broken exhaust stud out & re-tap everything. Painted & ready to install. Preparing for my next in a long line of projects.

Thanks Wermz. I spend more time cleaning & painting than I do assembling. Rust never sleeps around here so it is kind of required to repaint when you have things apart. I installed the dist 1 tooth off, I swear I do that about every third time I install one. The truck runs great, finally.

Replaced the airbags in the rear coils of the 90. What a pain. At least it's done, I have 1200 lb of paper to haul home for 1 printing job next week. Sprayed them with tractor paint. That stuff is thick, had to dry them on the wood stove

Installed. When deflated these really don't limit the travel of the suspension (such as it is). They are inflated in this photo. Living around here every fix seems to include removing rust & painting. This will work until I have money to do leaf springs. The original suspension on these runners is flawed from the get go, no use trying to use it as a platform to improve upon.
