Bald MT. sometime the weekend of the 9 to 11

I'm trying to get some guys together to hit the snow @ Bald next weekend. Probably just a day run but might camp a night and run the trail the next day just for the heck of it. Not quite sure which day(s) just yet, depends on what everyone is up for. Anyone who feels up to it is more than welcome. Hey Mike, you guys in for another round?

Cool. I've got another guy local I've met before who wants in. He says he's a bit fresh to wheeling but ya gots ta learn sometime right?

I'm thinking if we camp, it'll be sat night. It'll be easier to head up mid day on sat than after work on friday.

Well I'm definately going to hit some snow next weekend. I think Booger and I are definately in for camping,not sure about anyone else. I'm thinking head up the hill about 2 or 3 on Sat. so we're not trying to set up tents in the dark. Don't have it all ironed out just yet. I figure we'll set up camp just off Rock Creek somewhere before the south entrance to the trail. Theres one spot that is on the left as you come in, it is a decent sized area and pretty flat. If I remember right, it's just before the bridge (not positive)so if guys want to come up Sun morning, we'll be easy to find. I'll post more details as I hear more from those who want to go. Ya up for camping?

I should be good to go on Sunday. Can't say if I get Saturday off, after two 4 day weekends I could use some OT so I'm not asking for it off.

My boss likes keeping secrets so it's hard to know about Saturday.(time to change jobs) Soon as I know I'll post up. 7:30 is cool by me, I live by Fowler and Ashlan, but we can meet up anywhere.

Alright. I'll post up this afternoon. I need to check on a couple of things. Rocky was saying there was 3-3.5 feet last week just on Rock Creek. Hopefully with this weather, not too much has melted away.

Not sure really how much we had.   It was fun to get out but the snow was crap. Thin layer of crust on top and unpackable powder under it. The three of us each blew a bead and there was plenty of shoveling and strapping. It was still fun though.

sunday i went up the hill and found some deep snow with a couple of jeepers, i lost a TRE and ran outta gas playing snow plow for everyone, luckily the sisy playing caboose had a jerry can.  we played winch and tow strap all day and had to move a couple of downed trees so a TJ rubicon on 31's could negotiate the trail
