Toilet Plumbing - Please Help

One of the toilets in my house got plugged up Friday night when we had some friends over.  I tried the basic type plunger that we had with no luck.  Saturday night I pickup up the accordian style plunger and still no luck.  Today I picked up a toilet auger and still no luck.  The auger doesn't seem to get stopped so I'm thinking that the block might be farther down?  None of the other items in the house have had any problems that we have noticed.

How do I get chemicals past the neck in the toilet?  Putting it in the bowl won't help...

wow that sounds like a pretty crappy problem    sorry I couldn't resist. 

In all seriousness, I'm not expert plumber but will the toilet flush or does it do the normal fill up the bowl and sit there? and has it drained down at all since last night?

It seems to drain extremely slowly, and when flushed fills the bowl to the top.  I almost caused a flood when I flushed it this morning since the plunger doesn't work well with a low water level.

if U use the chemicals  they are heaver then the water  and dissolve the paper/poo   just make shore U get the thick stuff and let it sit

Maybe push it down with the plunger?

I would try to let it dran down and then turn the water on until just enough is in there to use the plunger again. and just plung and plung away.  Does it seem like its getting anywhere.  Oh and you could put the liquid draino in there right before you plung it.  That would allow the draino to travel hopefully enough down the drain to help unclog it.

We had a problem like that years ago, I think it was that when the utilities people did some work in the yard they cut the pipe and stuff grew into it. Something like that.
MrW had to dig up the line and find where the problem was, cut out the bad part of the PVC and replace it.

Have you tried a snake? you may need to go down a ways to get to the blockage.

Some times a tree root will crush a pipe or grow into a crack causing it to block. That happened to us after they burried a new cable in front of the house.

Also the soap from the dish washer and washing machine will coat the pipes too.

There should be clean outs for you to get into the pipes to snake them out. If not there should be vents on the roof that will work too.

It seems that progress is being made.  I used the auger again and then the plunger some more.  I actually got some water to go down.  Now I am heating some water up to pour in along with some chemical to help clean things out.

  My buddy got back from Moab today and it was freezing cold with snow almost every day.  Tube doors might provide too much AC for our trip 

I will PM you a proposed itinerary tonight.

run a air hose down passed the air brake and stuff rags in the bottom to fill around the hose. fill with water (flush) and open the air valve at the tank. hold the rags in place and let her rip!

















P.S. have a friend close by with a dig. camera. we will want to see the fun!

The wierd thing is that the auger never showed signs of anything nasty, but it is working fine now.
