Ramrod

yep you definitly don't need most of that stuff.

Hyena

those rear axles take up a lot of room and aren't needed, neither are the torque wrenches.

Yes BBW I do have an arc welder, it's 2 batteries.

That is just stuff I have in my normal tool box. Doesn't take up much room. :dunno:

:funny:  I think it's kind of a personal preference as what to bring.  Different trucks like to break different things, some more frequently than others.  I subscribe to the Boy Scout motto: "be prepared".  Sometimes the littlest things can be life savers.  If you don't carry a fire extinguisher you're an idiot in my book.  I've never actually seen a Toy catch on fire but I have seen other trucks ignite on the trail w/owner helplessly watching!

:headshake: you beat me too it :hahaha:

Mini, that is way overkill, but now I know who I wanna wheel with

I carry
a spare that doesn't even hold air very long
small compressor (cig. lighter kind)
a toolbox with all my sockets, a hammer or two, several different sizes of screwdrivers, pliers, and my wrenches.
gear oil
oil
water
ATF
duct tape
starting fluid
zipties
got spare fuses in the glovebox anyway
toilet paper
a couple rags
two tow straps
some chain
spare halfshaft
ratchet straps

I should probably take more, but thats  what I got.  I don't wheel by myself, and my buddies and I usually carry different things, so we're covered usually covered.

Mini, if you've got the room, why not take it :dunno:

Gear oil
Motor oil
PS fluid
zip ties
duct tape
black tape
basic 90piece cheapo (dont want to lose my craftsman) toolset
Vice grips
channel locks
750000 candle power spotlight
lots of zipties
many screwdrivers
10mm,12mm,14mm wrenches
some wire
little bit of rope
and an adjustable wrench

Oh yeah and a lot of those gas station blue paper towels
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

miks85yota

usually, i wont need certain tool if i have them, but if dont bring them, everything breaks at once, just my luck

Ferg

I don't carry that many fluids or the axles, but I do carry at least that many tools including the welder.  Hardly ever need any of it for me, almost always for 'the other guy'.  I usually find the broke on the side of the trail.  I can't count how many times I've fired up the welder and saved someones weekend.
Some idiots are too busy knowing it all, to ever learn anything...

yotaboy79

not many people carry oil filters but i do now i had a stick get crammed up in there and put a hole in my oil filter

seanc

the reason you have to carry so many parts is because all the parts are wieghing your truck down and breaking stuff.
You win some, you lose some.

I think I'm going to start carrying some waterless hand cleaner.  Sure would be nice to be somewhat clean after fixing something broken.  Especially if you're camping for another day or two.
