it's a hammered finish. figured it'd go along with the green on the outside of the truck. starting to look like a turtle.

when i bought the truck it was a frankenstein. so i didn't know what i had of how reliable it was. took it apart and turned out it was a 22r/20r with a holley Pro-jection TBI setup. the head was cracked and  i was thinking about rebuilding it at the begining of the project but decided to go with a remanufactured motor. motor came with a nice warranty and was $700 out the door.  i kept the fuel injection set-up and had to completely re-tune the whole thing since it's fully adjustable. after a week of tuning. it runs great!  also swapped it a L52 tranny and new skid plate while i was at it.  At the shop we like to call it "the Green Turtle"

My latest acquisition:

And getting it stuck in snow a day later:

84 reg cab, short bed (I think?), LED tails, hi-steer, Detroits, 4.11 Yukons, Warn XD9000i, 22R, stainless header, power steering and I was told 4.7s in the case but it doesn't feel like it.

And frame rot/floorboard rust.

Here's my 1st gen.  Currently has a 22RE from a 94 pickup with a Doug Thorley header and Chevy alternator swap.  I've also got a big parts pile in the garage that i hope to start playing with soon...

4" front and rear complete kits (springs, shocks, brakelines, hangers, blah blah blah), front springs sold, using RUF instead to get the front tires out of the fenders when stuffed/turned
HP front with 5.29's/ARB
V6 Rear with 5.29's/ARB
Longfield front 30 Spliners
Longfield Hub Gears
Superior Axle chromo rear shafts
Marlin 23 spline dual adapter
Marlin 23 spline 4.7's for the rear case
IFS rear axle
Sky front widening kit
FJ60 front rotors/big calipers
FJ80 Master Cylinder
2" backspace wheels
Sky rear axle truss
Diff guards
Knuckle ball gussets
Front axle truss
High steer

I'm sure there are a few more things that i am forgetting but there are also a few more things that i need to pick up before i get started.  Cant wait to start slinging parts at it!!

Here's a pic of when it is clean and before the new wheels that i bought for the upcoming build...

I love 1st gens with back seats

Here it is currently, dirty and with the newer wheels mounted on some street tires for right now...

That is totally cool! I can remember the times when huge Yotas were everywhere, I love the rerto look and have a wild hair to do that to my DD.  Do you remember how much lift the springs are?  It looks like a shortbed but my eyes are playing tricks on me is it?  I love seeing clean first gens that are not all exoed, bobbed, doved, and all that.  Really cool I like it.

If i remember right the springs were 7" with a leaf added because of the V8.Vince
