How much are they worth? (Attn: Tire Guru's)
« on: Feb 20, 2006, 05:42:24 PM »
My dad is considering purchasing a set of used 33x12.50 Goodyear MTRs from a friend.  I think they are probably 90%+ tread remaining.  They would be swapping nearly identical wheels and my dad's tires have zero value.

Tirerack.com list is $171

What is a fair price?  :help:
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

so the wheel price is of no concern since they are near identical,  i priced some 33 goodyears a few days ago  and i was told $185  with mount and balance it was right at $200 each

if they tires are really 90%  i would say $150 each is fair
