You're right. Jeppa Sport and Benny's Automotive in Iceland were the first to come out with the dual case. Marlin talked with them and took the idea and refined it. Marlin IS the first with the crawler gears.
In '96 i'm pretty sure he was runing dual 470's (459:1) That was just a a year or so of after I got his original set of 470's from him. I installed his old tcase in my truck one night while he was building 2 new 470 cases with his newly designed quieter gears.
(if he did have triples in his truck in those pics, he must have just put them in, because he put "DUAL, TRIPPLE TRANSFER CASES" on the side of his truck when he went tripple.

Anyway, brings back good memories. I remember Mikey when he was just a little turd.

This was post triple you could still see where he removed the old stickers that said Triple under The Dual stickers.

Sorry for replying so late.... I bought an adapter plate here in Iceland I think it was ´99 or maybe 2000. with I assembled the t-cases with that I have still in my truck today. I bought it from a guy called Smári and owns a shop called Skerpla. Here in Iceland.. He told me when I bought it that this was a 3rd I think design that he made. He and designed it with some buddy of his (can´t remember who) and sold them to the modifying company's Benny´s and outhers.  The design that I have is really similar to marlins MC07 that buddy of mine ordered last year from marlin but I like marlins better they have more oil tunnels and overall gives you a better comfort that the one I have. + looks better.  Mine is cast aluminium I think.  But Smári has adapters for all sorts of t-cases landcruisers, econolines and so on.......

But I gotta give it to marlin his stuff looks more PRO. (maybe cause he has the marked, that allouves him to focus on one type)
