Vinyl Dye

did a search for this, all i found was stuff refering to Goodyear tires.....

im looking at the dye that comes in a psray can for use on interior trim panels in the car.... how does it work, how does it hold up to abuse? my interior is a tan/brown color, dont like it much.... im thinking about doing it over on black.....

Never heard of it   I know that spray paint desinged for plastic works really well, even normal spraypaint does the trick ok.  My uncle sprayed the dash in his work truck 3 years ago with walmart spraypaint, and it still looks good.  Obvously won't work as well for high friction areas, like the steering wheel, but

i know krylon fusion has it for plastic, im talking about the vinyl, like the door panels.... let me see if i can find it online.....

not really... not the vynil i think that stuff talks about... i know the krylon fusion is for hard plastic, like the door handles and dash pieces, but im taliking about redoing the padded door sides and such on the inside...

I've done this several times with vinyl dye.  Go to kragen or autozone and look in their spray paint section, they should have the vinyl dye from dupli color I think.  I've done dash tops, trim pieces and such and it's done fairly decent for me.  You might hafta go to your local paint supply store and grab a can of plastic prep first, it'll clean all the oils/impurities off your parts, then you run a tack cloth over it and it's good.

check nappa they have some paint i have used a buch of times for vinyl and plastic has always worked great for me
i did the whole inside of my blue truck from blue to black
most of it was metal though
