I want to flex out the rear of my truck after I mount the pivoting lift blocks, but it won't be driveable.
How can I lift one tire in the air?

Here are the tools I have to work with:
-Two High Lift Jack (48")
-Stack of tires
-Floor Jack
-Come-a-long
-Tree Savers
-Wood blocks

See if you guys can come up with something...

BUBBA

take the high lift run a strap around one of the tires and jack away.

My budget beater

Duffil

comealong up to the rafters and around a wheel.

pull up on a front tire, it will flex out the rear better.

MiniSimp

Right, but the question is, with the available tools, how.

hmmmm.....I do have a tree...... :headscratch:

kneedownnate

Here's the redneck in me coming out....put a block on the floor lift, jack it up as far as you can, make a cradle with the tree saver around the tire and hook one end of the comealong to it, wrap the other end around a tree branch and away you go........

Are you sure you don't have one of these laying around??

BigMike, as I said before...I am a professional.

Actually I pushed and shoved bofore I started poking around and taking pictures and she was balanced very well.   THe angle of the jack in the picture looks bad, but it was pretty stable.  I was surprised because by looking at it I figured I would be able to blow it over.
edit:  Isn't she beautiful?

Lift opposite wheels, you won't have to lift as high and it will give a better result. I have an RTI ramp and use a car ramp on the rear opposite wheel. It gives WAY more flex. It will show you the MAX travel that way. A regular RTI won't show max travel.

ps the forklift is good too

Good Idea, that sounds a little more doable.

you know  a good set up would be a forklift on the left front and right rear lifting at the same time

Simpson, I am VERY courious about the results of the piviot blocks. Just hurry up and get them installed :gap:

But really, I think the only concern I would have with using them on my truck (sadly, mostly daily driven) is if that bolt were to come loose and fall out, or break. I think I would drill a hole through the threaded end and put a cotter pin in there or something.... Can Dave make those with a slightly larger bolt size? I seriously would consider putting them in the front.. If it was too loose for the street, I could just build a pan hard bar or something.... mmmmmmmmmmm FLEXY BABY!!

No  :smack:  they are pivot shackles.  No missing link or revolver double shackle crap here.  They were made by BFE Offroad who, sadly, no longer exists.

It doesn't extend like a revolver, but rather it allows it to piviot :hammerhead:
