The ones most people use are off of a f150 right? If so, what year should I ask for when I call the dealer?

screw those things. if you dont brace them up right and real good they will rip the hell out of your frame ( i speak from personal experience)  buy some real shock hoops and do it right.

From an F250...I used the original shock mount and trimmed it, then welded it to the back of the ford shock mount as a brace.  No good pics of it though...

I used the Ford type on my Sammi didn't have any trouble with them and have Marlin's on my Toyota. I was always a little worried about the Ford's and ended up bracing them for support. MC's come with the braces and the hoops are very strong.

I have had the f-250's on for 2 years and they aren't even braced.  My buddy has also had his on for over 2 years and they aren't braced.  But then my other buddy had his on for a couple months and it ripped off.  Guess it just depends on how good the welds are or how much stress/impacts/bottoming out they have had to deal with.

these are mine.

And now for the answer to your question...
Ford Part #'s - E5TZ-18183-A

Hey Mini, you think that would be the same in Canada?

this or that? . call Marlin and get the job done right the first time

CRS, I'd love to buy stuff from Marlin, but it would take to long to get here and plus the shipping and border fee's suck ass.

Bah, recycle your old mounts, save the evironment!

Yea, I would... but its a SAS so there are no old ones  :headscratch:

Also, what is the difference in the f-150 and f-250 shock tower?

Thanks for all the reply's too.

The part number given is all you need. Also, when I did mine I did not cut off the entire stock mount. I cut it about half way down so the Ford tower would slide inside of it. Beat the stock mount tight to the Ford mount on the sides and weld it up.

Well thanks CTENG, that gave me a good . but the older Ford f-150's had a half ass solid axle, I wasn't sure what year we were talking about.

Thanks Joker, that helps... I kinda like the baby talk though :rofl2:
