how did your family get into this group home thing anyway? Sounds scarey to me! We have some kids down the street that fit that profile and I don't even like them walking by the house :yikes:

You should rat out his best friend to the fuzz then tell everybody that your little wall kicker told the cops. Then his buddies will take care of him  :bat:

It is your property, and you place, you should have a right to demand certain criteria, just as a school does. Why the hell do you (your parents?) do this? Doesn't sound like it is very rewarding, especially not to you!

We can't report him unless he's harmed someone or himself

Beat him till he is close to death and call the cops and tell them he was having a fit of rage and was smashing his face in the wall. When you heard all the noise and came to see what was going on you found him laying in a pool of his own blood.

When they ask about your bloody hands, tell them you were working on the ford when the hood fell on them. :ha_ha:

But seriously, if he has another out burst like that let the law take him away.

And BTW watch your back.

These "boys" you speak of are closer to man hood than you think and I wouldn't put it past any of them to attack you and putting it nicely have their way with you tag team style.

I would make a report of the incedend for future use.

I would relish in this kid attacking me.  I WANT him to so we can get RID of him and he can go behind bars.  Is that mean?

MrsW, as far as the do-rag... they feel that they have a "right" to it because their hair is too unmanageable and they don't look nice without one, not to mention it's gang related, the kid was in all blue, and he thinks he's just "so sexy" (his words that is) :ack:  I'm not saying this pertains to ALL african americans, I've only heard it from my boys.  I don't agree either.  However, our hands are tied unless he physically harms somebody, himself, or gets completely out of control destroying the house further.  That "little incident" was too minor to get him hauled away.  However, I WOULD like to press charges... give him a taste of what's in store for him if he keeps it up :eyebrow:

That is exactly why do-rag's should be prohibited at your group home. Anything gang related should, by law, be prohibated. It only makes sense. Give me a break their hair is unmanagable. Girl, you are too young for all this! You are not much older then these kids and these kids think they are so grown up they probably see you as their age in their eyes. How are they supposed to see you as someone, ie: an elder, to respect? As if they would anyway.

On top of that, it has been my experience that rebellious people do not appreciate good things being done for them or respect the person doing it for them (btw: I have this outlook from personal experience) So do not think that because you are going out of your way to make things nice or do special things for these guys that you willl be treated with respect in return.

Maybe by one (maybe two) but most will more then likely just turn it around on you and take advantage of you for it, or, like in this case, destroy it.

And this is true in real life as well. Look out for #1 first and foremost.

As for keepin him... there's nowhere else for him to go.  I wish he'd just run away it'd make it a lot easier to get rid of him.. since we're not obligated to take him back once he voluntarily runs

I don't expect respect in return... I just expect them to not throw it all back in my face, and when I tell them that it works for the weekend but then the next weekend we're right back to the old ways.  I know I should go and get a life then come back in 30 years when my mom retires.... but right now I'm just gonna go back to school and get something behind me so I can start a real life.... I'd say 2 years and HOPEFULLY I'll be outta here :crossed:
