Ok so now the Piece of crap was doing something weird. It idled fine, once it got under a load itd die. Barely made it back to school during lunch. Anyway same thing happend a week agao and turned out to be a vacuum leak. Well I thought the same today. I spent a long time getting all the vacuum lines in the right spot, now I have no vacuum leaks at all. But what its doing now is it idles at 700Rpm, goes up to 1500 and back down to 700rpm....does this for however long you let it. If you press on the gas at all, it dies. All vacuum is fine, no leaks at all......SO Im thinking its the fuel pump, anyone else want to say its something like that so I dont go waste the money I dont have?

:headscratch: I'm going to throw this out here but I am not sure if it is correct. Do you have an EGR valve? I've heard of this happening on engines when the egr goes bad. Funky idle and dies real easy. I wouldnt take just my word though, lets hear what else people have to say. Now you have the crawlers you can just throw it in gears and idle to school :dunno:

Yerah i have my EGR still. Weird thing is., last time when it did this (last week) I was in FWD and it was shakin the crap out of my truck and it made it all messed up. This time, both my rear shocks are broken off so it was swayin like no other, when I get in my truck to go back to school it was all messed up. Now its worse then it was too...

No itd take about 30 minutes. I hate getting rides from people too. Maybe my bro will let me take his street bike....

Im pretty mad at this turd motor, again.

here is something i want to add.... my truck runs great.... i have the hai diaphram, thermo valve, and mc valve plugged off @ the carb... my timing is set to 0* and idle speed is set to around 800 rpm... recent plugs, wires, rotor, cap

lb, im still ver ywith the idea your vacuum stuff is wrong or off.... the distributor timing can effect the vacuum as well..... the distributor being off can effect everything you are experiencing.....

try unplugging the vacume line from the egr valve, if it runs better that is your problem

Worked on it ALL DAY after school. Started off with redoing every single vacuum line. THat still didnt work. Had my buddy come over just to get some ideas... Well we both decided I should take off the carb, so I did. Went and got a 16.35 oz of chem tool and sprayed it in the carb. When the can got almost empty (after spraying it in all the little ports and whatnot) I looked at one of the jets, and somehow a pine needle got lodged in it and was barley poling out (and it wasnt before). So I pulled it out, put it back together and now its runnin great!

How the heck did you get that in there?  I ran for almost a year with no airfilter and never had a problem, and that included a dry deer season and lots of quail hunting.  Glad you got it fixed
